SWEC Meeting 3-21-12 8:00 – 8:40
Attendance: Annie W., Kim N., Gina P., Maryann B., Caryl P., Debbie L. (8:00 -8:20), Drew (8:00 – 8:15), Ralene
(I took the notes, and I'm sure I missed things that Hayley would have gotten! -Caryl)
Annie shared that Drew and Ralene want us to focus on PBIS issues for the general population. Blue slips are only coming in for the hard hitters, so there isn’t SWIS data for behavior.
Hallway behavior was brought up as an issue. Bus dismissal was also brought up as an issue because kids aren’t being respectful and are walking three or four across, running, etc.
Annie will make more stop signs for teachers at the T
Newer staff will be let know what bubbler/T duty expectations are.
What do we want: WALK and WATCH where you are going!
Gina suggested a teacher could stand in the door as a presence.
March Assembly: Rescheduled for Friday March 30th at 2:45

Annie would like to do a skit (walking in the hall?)
Gina suggested only showing them the correct behavior (per brain research)
“Hands on backpack, Walk and Watch!”

We need to try to touch base with duty people (1/2 sheet in mailbox?) so they come to the assembly to see the “Walk and Watch” or talk to them about the
Maryann is tentatively scheduled to share something at the April assembly for Earth Day.
We will meet next week Wednesday March 28th to start looking at Spirit Week.
